Don’t Believe What They Say!
No matter what Orchard Partners, (the developers) say, what is written in the EIR is
what legally counts. They say they are environmentally concerned and hear the
community but the EIR is what counts.
A picture from the developer website:
Just because the picture of the quarry building looks smaller and hidden does not
mean anything. The EIR states it will be a 8 story building in all of the alternative plans.

Notice of another community meeting:
The developers of the Quarry, Orchard Partners, invites everyone to their second
Community Open House, taking place on Monday, June 30th from 5:30-7:30 PM. The
location will be the same as the first one - at the former Trove site located at 240 Valley
Drive in Crocker Industrial Park. There will be dinner and activities for kids. For more
information, call Kit Cole at 818-822-6378 or email her at kit@kitcoleconsulting.com.
Note: a postcard is also being mailed to all Brisbane residents inviting them to the
Community Open House.

The Brisbane Counsel is voting on the EIR approval or not this summer.
Please voice your opinion about this new proposed massive building! The EIR indicates
this building will be almost a million square feet or 8 stories.
As the EIR states:
The Alternatives are not better than the original plan. They create as much noise, pollution,
destruction of habitat as the first plan.
Alternative 1 as the “environmentally superior alternative” is pure fantasy. It fails to
avoid or significantly reduce any project impacts, as required by CEQA for alternatives.
The existing quarry has disturbed 81.5 acres of the site, and the Alternative 1 would add
over 20 acres of disturbance.
Operational hours are up to who buys the development.
This building will be almost a million square feet or 8 stories.
The hours of operation are not stable or definite, just “may occur between 5am and
10pm, depending on the tenant”. If this could be a 24-hour operation, the project must
evaluate that as well as noise levels associated with employee and delivery vehicle trips
throughout the night.
22 months (at least) of excess noise (86 decibels) during construction. Sustained
excess noise like this can lead to hearing damage. Noise could continue in operations.
If building windows are improperly installed birds may crash into them.
1.5 million cubic yards of grading material will be moved during construction
Any project reviewed in the EIR will exceed air quality standards in this day and age of
Emergency Catastrophic Climate Change
.5 miles of Quarry road is to be expanded to 40 feet wide with two 20 feet wide
sidewalks. 2 60 foot wide .5 mile long roads, one to the facility from South Hill Dr., will
run through federally listed endangered species habitat. This will wipe out 30% of the
riparian habitat and cut down 500 trees.
19 Permits Missing:
A well - 5.8 million gallons of water will be used for 5 years; 64.8 are needed for the 22
months (at least) of construction. A water well is proposed for Tunnel Avenue and
Bayshore Boulevard. A water shortage is projected for the city of Brisbane. The buyer
would be responsible getting the well water without an EIR.
Thank you, MBC
